Strong Local Schools As the mother of three kids in the Olathe schools, I know we need to ensure our kids are receiving the best education possible. That means maximizing tax dollars reaching our classroom to support our students and hire the best teachers. Respecting Your Tax Dollars Rising income taxes and property taxes place a greater burden on Kansas families and especially our seniors. We can reduce the overall tax burden if we effectively manage our expenses and demand fiscal accountability. Real Fiscal Accountability I will work to establish an independent State Auditor that has the authority to conduct forensic and performance audits to ensure our tax dollars are being spent wisely. A Renewed Focus on Mental Health Mental Health is an area we must focus more on within our schools and our community. We can tackle this critical issue with proper resources and attention. I will help lead this effort.
